This session, hosted by OCDC ICRG and Equal Exchange, continued discussion on how cooperatives around the world respond to climate issues. Equal Exchange, member of OCDC and its Collaborative Group, partners with Norandino Cooperative from Peru. The session started with a video of Norandino member, Sabina, sharing an example of challenges cooperative members face. The event then proceeded with the speaker, Maira Elizabeth López López, who has experience in the financial aspects of climate response and carbon credit program that their co-op implements. She recently presented Norandino’s experience during the European Microfinance Week, held in November 2022.
