Ashley Holst

Research Associate

Ashley Holst has a Master’s Degree in International Development from American University in Washington, DC specializing in Monitoring and Evaluation. Prior to joining OCDC, Ashley has conducted field research in Kenya and Haiti and worked for two years at Caminante Proyecto Educativo in the Dominican Republic. Ashley has over 5 years of experience in international development and project management.

Ashley has a particular interest in Women’s Development including social and economic development and prevention of violence against women. Ashley has found an appreciation for cooperative development and the unique ability of cooperatives to catalyze sustainable development. Ashley is interested in further researching how cooperatives can be continue to provide economic opportunities for women.

Ashley received her BA in International Political Science and Sociology from Drury University.
