Mendsaikhan (Mendee) Khasbaatar

Project Management Associate

Mendee joined the OCDC’s Research Group in November 2018 as the Project Management Associate. She believes in the advantage and impact of cooperatives in improving the lives of their members both economically and socially and in contributing to stronger and resilient society.

Mendee comes from two years as the Program Analyst with USAID’s Office of Local Sustainability within the Bureau of Economic Growth, Environment, and Education. In this position, she supported the Cooperative Development Program team and also contributed to the program philosophy of USAID’s new initiative on local ownership and sustainable programs.

Before that, she worked with USAID Mission in Mongolia in various capacities supporting Mission’s program office and working closely with the technical teams. She studied international development policy at the Duke University and has a Master’s of Petroleum Geoscience from the Tyumen State Oil and Gas University in Russia.

Mendee likes art, live performance, and good food.
