From the ground up: Strategies for local development success marked the first of two special virtual events hosted by Devex as part of the Roots of Change content series. The event focused on building effective partnerships and increasing funding to local organizations, leading to more sustainable development outcomes. Discussions centered on overcoming obstacles, sharing successful case studies, and identifying immediate steps that both international donors and local organizations can take.

Supported by partners including Action Against Hunger, African Visionary Fund, The Aurum Institute, Catholic Relief Services, ChildFund, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Council on Foundations, Global Health Advocacy Incubator, International Development Innovation Alliance, Mayor’s Migration Council, the U.S. Overseas Cooperative Development Council’s International Cooperative Research Group, the U.N. Refugee Agency, and the UNICEF Office of Innovation, this event featured expert voices on the latest innovations, challenges, and opportunities in locally led development.
