Health research partnerships may have a number of benefi ts, including enhancement of the quality of research, exchange of knowledge between counterparts, and development of research capacity. Health research partnerships have the potential to lead to successful collaborations and lasting relationships, and to research that is translated into action to improve health equity. Partnerships frequently involve collaborations between parties with varied and often unequal resources. In order to truly benefi t all collaborators, partnerships must be carefully monitored and evaluated with an equity lens that considers this context of resource disparity. Read the Tool.
