Peru Country Study
May 12, 2023
The WDDCM research initiative aims to determine if a measurable social and economic “cooperative difference” exists for members and communities where cooperatives operate, as perceived by the members and a comparison group of people who are not members. While there are certainly technical and sectoral differences among cooperatives, this study was designed to seek a high-level understanding within the individual countries studied and across the four countries of whether and how a “cooperative difference” is manifested across sectors. What better people to ask about the effectiveness of the cooperative model than members themselves?
