Mr. Wiedmann is a contracts and grants management professional with 30+ years of experience in the areas of contract management, grants management, financial management, project management, procurement and logistics.
He oversaw and managed programs in over 20 countries with a combined value exceeding US $200 million. As the Director of Compliance, Operations and Awards at Plan International, Mr. Wiedmann negotiated/reviewed/revised international agreements for the organization, and provided hands-on contract and grant support to project Technical and Management personnel. Mr. Wiedmann was previously the Director of Finance for International Programs at Plan International and has an in-depth understanding of all aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. Prior to his work at Plan, Mr. Wiedmann worked for 16 years at Abt Associates in the contracts and grants department, ending his career there as Associate Director. Other relevant experience includes international development work with small business employers and a posting as a PSC Project Officer in the AID Mission in Kinshasa. Mr. Wiedmann lived and worked long term for over 20 years in sub-Saharan Africa, specifically in Chad, Central Africa, Cameroon, Zaïre, Niger and Senegal. Mr. Wiedmann earned a BA degree in French Literature from Fordham University and is fluent in English and French.
